“Change is the only constant thing in life,” is a popular saying.
Businessman and socialite, Ayiri Emami recently found out this reality.
Once considered one of the most influential individuals in Warri kingdom, having been named the traditional prime minister of the kingdom, the man recently battled with tides.
Emami’s influence in Warri kingdom was reduced by the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III after he ended the reign of the businessman with the appointment of a new traditional prime minister, Johnson Amatserunleghe.
Emami held the position of ‘Ologbotsere’ and served as the prime minister of the kingdom during the tenure of the former Olu of Warri, Ogiame Ikenwoli.
His road to the office was riddled with controversy, as there were talks that he was not qualified to ascend the throne of his forefathers due to his maternal heritage.
