The joy of every mother is to see her children become great.

This was one goal scored by late Mrs. Abiodun Adeniran-Sogbamu who recently passed on at the age of 65.

The passion and love with which she ensured that her children grow into successful individuals saw them roll out the drums to ensure a colourful and befitting burial ceremony for her.

Among the children of the deceased is Hon. Ademola Adeniran, an Ogun State lawmaker, popular as ‘Sapele’ who left no stone unturned in ensuring that the memory of his mum’s burial ceremony is etched in the brains of attendees and indeed residents of Ogun State at large, having celebrated a talk of town event.

The three days event kicked off with a Service of Songs on Wednesday, September 1, at Adeyemi Close, Makun, Sagamu, Ogun State, and was followed by a Christian Wake at Centenary Hall, Makun Sagamu the following day.

A memorable Burial Service was also held at Rev. Mellor Methodist Cathedral Church, Agbowa, Sagamu on Friday, September 3, with family and friends of the deceased trooping out to pay their last respect.

The event was climaxed with an elaborate shindig which saw guests being entertained at Akarigbo Palace Hall, Ita Oba, Sagamu, Ogun State by some of the top caterers in the business.
