Professor Yemi Osinbajo, Nigeria’s Vice President has assured communities in the country that their cries for justice will be responded to by the federal government.

Osinbajo made the statement on Tuesday, February 9, after revalidating his All Progressives Congress (APC) membership status in ward one Ikenne in Ogun State.

Osinbajo’s spokesman, Laolu Akande, quoted the Vice President as saying: “We must resist any attempt to destroy the unity of this country. Our people have lived and worked together for decades, even centuries.

“While we must attend to the cries of communities, and the cries of our people for justice, equity and fairness, we can do so within this same union. Ultimately we are stronger together than apart.”

Osinbajo noted that all issues of injustice can be addressed under a united Nigeria, adding that the Social Investment Programmes (SIPs) and Economic Sustainability Plan (ESP) were proof of the Buhari administration’s focus on the welfare of Nigerians.
