It won’t be wrong to describe Omawunmi Magbele as a crude and uncivilised celebrity.
This is a fact, at least if her action at a recently held entertainment award which took place at The Haven Event Centre, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos State, is anything to go by.
www.theoctopusnews.com was informed that the award-winning songstress recently descend as low as assaulting a photographer for attempting to take a picture of her.
So, engrossed was the singer in ensuring that she either destroyed the man’s camera or she leaves an indelible mark on him that a lot of people wondered why she was so frustrated.
Omawunmi’s action has left a lot of question in its wake, as observers of the development are curious. And are asking if she is not used to the life of a celebrity.
Speaking in a phone interview with www.theoctopusnews.com, the photographer, Adekola Gbamigbala, stated that it is indeed a shame that the people who call themselves celebrity don’t know the meaning of the word and can’t lead the life.
Gbamigbala said, I have watched the Grammys which is one of the biggest entertainment event in the world and I have never seen a photographer been assaulted for taking the picture of a star. Furthermore, he said, ” Omawunmi is a disgrace to the entertainment industry, as she only confirmed the popular saying that a Leopard can never change its spot. She is a crude lady who got lucky in Lagos State through music, he concluded.”
Presently, people who have commented on the issue have described Omawunmi’s action, as a total show of shame.
When we contacted the singer for her side of the story she told our reporter that he had the wrong phone number.
