Nigeria’s leading recreational centre, Omu Resort hosted the Lagos hospitality industry on Saturday, October 23.
Representatives of hotels in Lagos State including Southern Sun, Valley Point Hotel among others stormed the resort for a discussion expected to forge a better business relationship.
Addressing representatives of the hotels in attendance, Ibaze said the partnership could see Omu Resort dropping flyers at the reception of the hotels, while the hotels can also recommend the resort to their customers or organise a tour to the recreation centre at an agreed percentage.
Ibaze also suggested the idea of the hotels making a visit to Omu Resort a complimentary package the hotels managers offer their guests.
Furthermore, she said: “As you know, we have a beautiful resort and it can only be better with proper marketing.
“Today, we have been able to establish a good working relationship with most of the hotels in Lagos State.
“In fact, one of the representatives of the hotels even said that this is his first time here, so that tells you that we have a lot to do together and there are opportunities to be tapped into.”
Chief Godwin Ewelume, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Valley Point Hotel, reacting after the meeting said: “the meeting is to help both businesses. Just as the General Manager said, they can recommend people to us and we can recommend to them. It depends on what each of our customers wants.
“This is a turning point for our businesses. It is a very good way for all the managers of hospitality businesses to know each other.”
Omu Resort, a recreation centre that plays host to both local and international guests, treating them to a unique experience of the wonders of nature is located at Bogije, Ibeju Lekki, Lagos State. It boasts of several fun activities including a state-of-the-art freshwater Seaworld, Museum, Animal Kingdom, Green House, Wax Museum, and amusement rides.
