NTDC Boss, Folly Coker Adds A Year

The opportunity to celebrate a new age is something which Folly Coker never let slide away.

Hence, when it’s time to celebrate his birthday, he leaves no stone unturned, even if it’s for a cameo showing.

But for the COVID-19 pandemic ravaging the world, it would have been easy to make an emphatic statement that in days, a mega party would hold to honour Folly Coker.

But the present global situation will see only a few drinks being shared among family and a few friends as the fair-complexioned man turns 55.

Born on July 27, 1965, the scorecard of the Director-General of the Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation, has been nothing but enviable.

Coker has achieved a lot working audaciously as the boss of NTDC.

As the DG, he launched ‘Tour Nigeria,’ a project aimed at promoting domestic tourism in Nigeria. He also organised ‘Food Flavour,’ a festival that showcases Nigerian food and culture and promotes the nation as a destination for fun, hospitality, and relaxation.

The Coker-led administration has also digitalised tourism sights and street view in Nigeria with the hope of deepening the positive digital story of the Nigerian tourism industry.

Under him, the NTDC bagged several awards including the Best Tourism Marketing Agency of the year 2019 at the Gala/Award Night of Tourism Transportation Summit and Expo.
