Like bees to honey, more and more individuals are setting up record labels.
This is despite professional advice that the Nigerian music industry would be stronger with less record labels.
The latest addition to the long list of record label is MSE Gang which recently unveiled two of its artistes; namely Ballzee and Jay Melody.
The label which was setup in 2015, has Emmi A as its chairman. While the vision of the label which is to provide a platform for young artistes has been lauded as a good one, the antecedents of the label’s flagbearers in the music industry have been questioned.
MSE Gang’s chairman Emmi A has no enviable scorecard as far as the music industry is concerned and this has seen many asking how successful can his acts be.
