MC Bash Denies Terry G Spoiled His Show… Says He Was Billed To Perform

Following the recent happening between popular singer, Terry G and Dj Phreez, a trainee DJ under prolific disk-jockey master, DJ Jimmy Jatt at the first edition of ‘D’GOOD, D’BASH & D’FUNNY’ where Terry G slapped DJ Phreez for stopping his music in the heat of his performance.
The organiser, Hammed Basheer known as MC Bash in a telephone conversation about the event which took place last Sunday 5th of June, 2016 at Shell Hall, Muson Centre, Lagos said Terry G shouldn’t have slapped him but he’s human. He narrated, “Terry G didn’t spoil my show. It was recorded as a successful event and after the incident happened; the show continued with 9ice and Jaywon performance while I later performed to delight the audience to an unforgettable cheerful experience”.
When asked if the organiser instructed the Dj Phreez to play a song to chase him away, Bash said he wasn’t in the hall premises to have actually known what happened in the hall, but to both sides they have faults; the DJ shouldn’t have played another artiste’s song and Terry G shouldn’t have slapped him either. But I have spoken with Jimmy Jatt and I hope Terry G will do soon.”
Though it was quoted in a report that Terry G was not among the artiste billed to perform and that he begged the organizers until he was told to perform for seven minutes; MC Bash said it was mischievous information, “Terry was billed to performed, though no time frame was giving to him initially,”
Terry G speaking to Airwaves Report said “Will heaven fall if a comedian comes to whisper in my ears and say you’re running out of time; round up? That was a slap on my face. Give or take, I got too many hits to care about who cares. I am not a kid in this industry, and am not a one hit kind of artist, why on earth will I walk up to a show if I was not billed and a Dj will be playing another artiste’s song just to chase me out of the stage? Though, I was angry and emotional at the same time and even the crowd complained about the DJ’s behavior. I guess that’s why I did what I did because it can happen to anybody, but I’ve apologized to Jimmy Jatt and Dj Phreez.
Meanwhile, the Deejays Association of Nigeria (DJAN), has ordered all Nigerian Disc Jockeys to stop playing all of Terry G’s songs until further notice. In a statement signed by Sebastian Ikpoza (DJ Desert Storm), National Secretary of Deejays Association of Nigeria stated that ‘legal actions are on the way but after wide consultations and deliberations, the Deejays Association of Nigeria hereby place an embargo on all songs of Terry G, audio and video (including songs he featured in) indefinitely in all events, lounges, bar, radio and every other spot where it is the duty of a DJ to play music Nationwide.
