This is the story of Ladi Balogun whose tenure as Managing Director of First City Monument Bank (FCMB) Limited, is set to come to an end effective Monday, March 20.
However, unlike many of his colleagues who have held similar position and have simply faded off the banking industry having served the mandatory 10 years as GMD, Balogun is set to take up a new appointment as Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO).
This new appointment will see Balogun in a new light, as he seeks to take the companies under the FCMB group to another level.
Amiable Balogun would be remembered as the man who successfully transformed FCMB from a merchant bank to a top banking brand.
