The burial of late Diepreye Alamieyeseigha is expected to bring relief to many including his families.
Prior to the present burial arrangement which will see the man interred today Saturday April 9, there had been speculations making the rounds about an internal strife between his family members. The fact that he was indeed dead was another talking point.
An initial burial plan announced earlier in the year was supposed to see Alamieyeseigha buried on Thursday, March 24, before a new date was announced later.
The burial plans which will climax today kicked off on Thursday, April 7, with youth and students activities, public lecture on Federalism and development in Nigeria and a night of songs and tribute.
Friday, April 8, witnessed events such as valedictory State Executive Council session and wake, while the early hours of today witnessed a commendation service before the internment proper.
Alamieyeseigha supposedly died on Saturday, October 10 2015.
