Florence Seriki’s Unfulfilled Dreams

Late Florence Seriki remains one of the few Nigerian women to have created an impression in the computer business.
Chief Executive Officer and Group Managing Director of Omatek Ventures Plc, Seriki excelled where very few men did.
At a point, her dream was to see to the dominance of indigenous technologies in Nigeria.

Although a developing culture, her dream wasn’t full fledge before she passed on at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) on Friday, March 3.
Aged 52, Seriki was born on August 16, 1963 to the Udebu family from Ebu, Delta State. She was a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers, Nigerian Computers Society and the Institute of Directors. She held a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Ife now known as Obafemi Awolowo University.
Many have expressed their feelings on great Seriki’s exit would had been if she had achieved her dream before bidding farewell to the earth.
