In a period when people hardly care about what is happening to their neighbours, Ortom has shown an exceptional side unknown to a lot of people.
Unlike others who would rather enjoy the good things life has bestowed on them alone, Ortom is concerning herself with the troubles of others, advocating for the opposite sex.
Recently, the woman was the subject of admiration from Tiv land men when she appealed for a review of high bride price in the land to enable young men get married when due.
Asides this, Ortom has advocated a better life for her people. Years back, she called for strengthening of immunisation against childhood diseases, while also creating awareness on the HIV/AIDS scourge in her state via the Benue State Aids Control Agency (BENSACA). Indeed, Ortom has a heart of gold.
