These are not the best of times for Governor of Edo State, Comrade Adams Oshiomole.
The activist turned politician is currently swimming in a poll of controversies, as hardly does a week go by without a fresh controversy to deal with.
Only recently Oshiomole was involved in a face-off with students and staffers of the Edo State University where government properties worth millions were destroyed.
Like a man cursed with challenges, Governor Oshiomole is currently trying resolve a domestic issue created by his new wife who allegedly sacked all the domestic staffers attached to the government house in Benin.
Unknown to a lot of people, a year ago, the governor picked a new wife secretly. A source within the government house told us that she is a beautiful Caucasian named Jane.
The marriage was said to have been conducted in secrecy, as the Edo Governor needed a wife to take care of his home front. Oshiomole, lost his beautiful wife, Clara to cancer in 2010, and had sort for another woman to fill the vacant office of first lady to no avail.
Interestingly, part of the conditions the new wife gave the governor for her to relocate to Nigeria permanently was that he reduced the numbers of domestic staffs attached to the government house so they could have some privacy.
Some of the cooks, gardeners, cleaners and other domestic staffers attached to the Government house were sacked with the approval of the Governor before the Christmas period in 2014. The sacks were effected by a memo raising the needs to cut down the heavy loads and wastage incurred by the government.
Since the sack, many have been wondering what the nest crisis would be for the governor to handle.
