Lawmaker, Desmond Elliot, does not appear to be able to handle the heat from criticism coming his way.
Recall that the thespian turned lawmaker had become the target of criticism following his position about the use of social media.
During plenary at the Lagos State House of Assembly, the lawmaker representing Surulere constituency had called on the speaker of the house to see to the use of social media by youths.
He called on the speaker of the assembly to “address certain things” like “the Nigerian youth, the social media, the social influencers.”
He also said; “All of these are making the narratives that we are seeing today. Except we’re joking with ourselves. Social media, though good, has its negative impacts.”
However, following attacks and criticism, the lawmaker has been forced to turn off the comment section of his Instagram account.
