AFTERMATH OF NIGERIA PRESIDENTIAL POLL: IMO CHIEF OF STAFF CONGRATULATES GEN. BUHARI, GOV. OKOROCHA

Chief of Staff and Commissioner for Special Duties in Imo State, Sir Jude Ejiogu has congratulated Nigerian President-Elect and the All Progressives Congress candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari over his victory in the just concluded presidential election, describing it as a new beginning for Nigeria and Nigerians.

 

Sir Ejiogu, in the statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Ikenna Onuoha, said going by the outcome of the election, Nigerians had shown to the entire world their ability and readiness to toe the part of greatness.

According to him, Nigerians have spoken clearly through their votes, pointing out that due to their quest for change in governance necessitated the victory.

 

He expressed optimism that Nigerians under General Buhari as President would witness great change, and appealed to good people of Imo State to continue to support Governor Rochas Okorocha whom he described as a visionary.

 

Similarly, Sir Ejiogu has felicitated with the Chairman, Progressives Governor’s Forum and Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha on the victory of the All Progressives Congress in the presidential poll.

He gave this commendation shortly after the declaration of the APC Presidential candidate, General Buhari as the winner of the election, saying that the outcome of the poll is an eye opener to Ndi-Igbo who allowed themselves to be controlled by religious sentiment.

 

He therefore called on the good people of Imo State to rise up to challenge in ensuring that APC emerges victoriously in the April 11th governorship election, and described Governor Okorocha as a hero that should be celebrated in the entire Igbo nation.
