The foolishness of actress Uche Iwuji and her now ex-husband the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of ABD Fuel, Juwon Lawal, has been exposed.
Last year, when it was reported that the one year marriage between Uche her husband Juwon was over the man denied the report saying he was just being informed by the reporter who called him to confirm the rumour.
The Kogi state businessman told Encomium magazine when contacted for his reaction that “Our marriage has crashed? That’s very strange. I am hearing it for the first time. Anyway, I don’t even have time to be reading all those rubbish. I don’t have time for Tales by Moonlight.”
Then; Lawal and his wife played smart thinking they could hide the reality of their marriage break up. However, like a smoke which is always difficult to hide barely one month into the year 2014, the foolishness of the couple has been exposed by the same man who denied the story initially.
A statement circulated by Lawal’s publicist on 7 February confirmed that the marriage formalized on Friday November 16, 2012 had crashed. This is coming after they initially denied reports late last year
The statement read thus
“This should serve as the official statement confirming the end to the marriage formalized on Friday, November 16th 2012 between the CEO of ABD Fuels Plc, Mr. Juwon Rasak Lawal and actress Uche Iwuji. Already, the court processes are on to give a legal seal to the separation.
“Mr. Lawal was in Europe on a business tour when the story first broke through the media. This was the reason why he could not react appropriately to it, plus the fact that he felt the event could be redeemed.
“Although, he would not want to talk about the reasons for the separation, Mr. Lawal is not married anymore to Miss Iwuji. And he will like to treat his estranged wife’s case as “once a friend, always a friend”. Status & Living Media – Publicist
This statement which confirms earlier report goes along way in confirming how dumb both Juwon Lawal and his now ex-wife Uche Iwuji are. If indeed Juwon was not in the country when the story broke how come he was swift in responding to the reporter who put a call to him.
Presently, the couple are begging the court to set them free from a marriage which has been more of a bondage than a source of happiness.
