ZENITH BANK’S ASPIRE MUSIC FESTIVAL DEBUTS IN LAGOS, FEATURES NIGERIA’S TOP ARTISTES

Nigeria’s leading financial institution, Zenith Bank Plc, is set to light up the social and entertainment scene this month with the announcement of the Bank’s “Aspire Music Festival”.

Dubbed as the most anticipated entertainment event of the year, the music festival holds on Saturday, September 21, 2019 by 8.00pm at the Harbour Point Event Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The breathtaking festival promises to be a night to remember, as it will feature captivating and thrilling musical performances by some of Nigeria’s biggest artistes including Olamide, Flavour, Phyno, Niniola, Mayorkun and Rema.

The Aspire Musical Festival, which is a must attend event for music lovers, tourists and fun seekers, is one of a series of events lined up by Zenith Bank to usher in “Style by Zenith 2.0”, the bank’s annual lifestyle fair which will take place towards the end of the year.

Attendance at the music festival is exclusively reserved for Zenith Bank customers. However, non-Zenith customers can still participate by simply opening a Zenith Bank account and registering to attend at www.zenithbank.com/style.

Nigerian Musician, D’banj Alleged Of Rape

Talent and model scout, Benjamin Ese, has accused Nigerian musician D’banj of allegedly raping his friend.

According to him, the incident happened in 2018 at a hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos State.

In the wake of an enraging crusade against rape following the rape and murder of both Uwaila Omozuwa and Barakat Bello, D’banj had shared a campaign against rape, sparking a reaction from Ese.

Initially giving vague information about the incident, he came all out the following day mentioning names and places where the alleged rape by the musician popular as the Koko Master took place.

Narrating the experience of his friend, he said:  “I was invited to an all-white party at Eko Atlantic, it was an all-night party on 30th of December 2018. I went with my friend to the party.

“When I got to the party, I met a girl called Oye, she was the friend of Don J, we later found out we were in the same hotel and she offered to drop me off.

“On getting to the hotel, Oyin later called me and said that D’banj saw me at the party and wanted to be with me for the night. I was offered money which I rejected.

“I am a naken sleeper, I woke up around 5: am and met D’banj in my room, he asked me if I was a baby and started fingering me. I told him I would shout, but he said I would have to leave the hotel naked. I later found out that he entered my room with an extra key card. When I asked Oyin if she planned with D’banj to do what he did, but she denied it.

” She apologised and told me to follow her upstairs, her boyfriend who was disappointed apologised and begged me to keep quiet about the issue, adding that D’banj would call me and apologise. He gave my friend $100 to give me to take medication.”

Acknowledging the fact that there would be other women who have suffered the same fate, the victim of D’banj’s alleged rape said that it took her two years to come out, adding that the musician never apologised to her for what he did.

Rapist: Peruzzi Apologises For Old Tweet

Davido Music Worldwide artiste, Peruzzi, has been swimming in a pool of rape controversy for days.

This follows an allegation of rape which has been trailing him since the alleged incident took place in 2012.

Though he has maintained that he has never raped anybody, old tweets where he confirmed his support for the dastardly act and others where he actually painted himself as a rapist have since emerged.

Following the tweets, Peruzzi has been forced to release an official statement where he maintained that he has never raped or sexually assaulted anybody in his life.
