Ahead of the 2023 general elections, one of the biggest talking points remains who will emerge as the next president?
While several names have been mentioned, one which has been a recurring decimal, albeit surfacing occasionally is that of Professor Yemi Osibnajo.
Osibanjo has severely been commended for his leadership style while President Muhammadu Buhari was out of the country, thus seeing many people urging him to contest for the presidency in the next election.
Though the man has hardly made a categorical statement about his ambition in the past, a recent development in which he purportedly revealed to Buhari that he would be contesting the 2023 presidential election has seen the political atmosphere becoming charged.
While a public declaration is yet to be made by Professor Osibanjo, many can’t wait for the man to publicly declare his intention to contest the election even as underground moves and negotiations are said to be ongoing.
