Despite assurance by several individuals that entertainers Omah Lay and Tems will be released, the situation is not looking positive at all.
A court video that surfaced on social media has revealed the kind of treatment Omah Lay and his manager are receiving in the hands of the Ugandan police.
In the video, the singer could be heard asking why they were being cuffed by the police, as his lawyer replied that it is the procedure.
A confused Omah Lay who was led to court by a female police officer was heard asking: “Why are they cuffing us, do they have to cuff us. The singer was also heard complaining that the cuffs were also too tight.”
Recall that Omah Lay was arrested along with female entertainer Tems after the duo performed at a resort in violation of the COVID-19 protocol in Uganda.
They were charged to court in Makindye on charges of Negligently doing acts likely to spread an infectious diseases C/S 171 of the Penal Code Act.
