Friends of Babatunde Fowler are always eager to celebrate his achievement, beating drums and playing to the gallery.
For them, Fowler’s biggest achievement remains how he increased the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of Lagos State from nothing to an enviable height.
Hence, when he resigned as boss of Lagos State Inland Revenue Service his friends partied and sipped the expensive of Champaign under a very serene atmosphere saying he was set to take over an appoint at the federal level handling tax affairs for the country.
That dream which Fowler saw when he resigned has since remained a fallacy for him, as the ambition seems to be getting dimmer by the day especially with many saying that President Muhhammadu Buhari is unlikely to work with people with flamboyant lifestyle.
