Students of Bissboss Nursery and Primary School, Igamu, Lagos State escaped death today when their school bus caught fire at Iponri Bus stop, Lagos.
The children all under the age of 10 were hurriedly rescued by passersby and their bus assistant, as eye witnesses kept asking what could have become of the children if there was no body to help them.
A passerby who spoke with www.theoctopusnews.com revealed that the bus driver hurriedly removed his seat, as soon as he realised the fire was coming from under his seat. The eye witness, said, but for the drivers prompt action the case would have been a different tale to tell.
Another eye witness who spoke with www.theoctopusnews.com under the condition of anonymity said it was time for the government to take a look at the so called private schools, as he said the incident would teach a lot of parent to look inwards before choosing schools for their wards.
