Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, has a reason to be jolly.
Having come under scrutiny following his alleged misappropriation of funds, Emir Sanusi, had become a target for all sorts of aspersions.
The height of it all came when the Kano State House of Assembly decided to investigate the allegations which had been making rounds about him.
However, the Emir found reprieve recently when the State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, called the Kano State House Assembly to order and they cancelled investigations into the affairs of the Emir.
Emir Sanusi has been alleged to have spent as much as N6 billion since he ascended the throne in 2014. However, the emirate’s senior council official in charge of finance, Bashir Wali, has revealed that only N3.4 billion had been spent since Sanusi ascended the throne.
