The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Ibrahim Attahiru, has urged the Borno State Government to repair roads linking major local government areas in the state.
Lieutenant General Attahiru also commended the governor of Borno State, Professor Babagana Zulum, for supporting the Nigerian Army especially in the area of logistics.
According to him, the governor has helped in enhancing Operation Lafiya Dole. He also said the governor is a big help when it comes to assisting families of fallen troops.
He made this known when the Borno State Governor paid him a courtesy call at the Army Headquarters, Abuja.
Meanwhile, the military chief promised that the Army will do everything possible to ensure peace prevails in the country. He also said some principal officers of the Army visited Borno over the welfare of troops.
Responding, Zulum commended the Nigerian Army, saying that the security outfit had shown commitment towards ending terrorism in the northeast and other contemporary security challenges in the country.
