Weeks after the burial of the late Supreme Court Judge, Justice Chukwudifu Akunne Oputa, facts have emerged as to the real reason Charly Boy allegedly embarrassed Imo State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, at the funeral mass of his father in Oguta, Imo State.

A reliable source who wouldn’t want his name mentioned revealed that the problem between Charly Boy and Okorocha did not just begin that day.
“It started way before Okorocha even became governor,” the source revealed that what angered Charly Boy who has the impression that Okorocha is not a man of his words dates back before the death of his father.

According to our source, Justice Oputa had on three occasions called on the governor for discussions concerning urgent state matters including the blackout that has pervaded Oguta for the past three years and other nagging issues, on the three occasions, Okorocha allegedly had shunned the old man even when the late elder statesman formally wrote to pay Okorocha a visit since the governor refused to come to him, still there was no reply from the governor’s end.

Another of Charly Boy’s grouse against Okorocha was the public announcement Okorocha made about his donation for the burial of Justice Oputa coupled with the fact that he (Charly Boy) was shut out of the plan of the state government concerning his father’s burial aside the total neglect of  his people by the Okorocha led administration.

It was gathered that Oguta which produces 70 percent of the oil in the state as well as 75 percent of agricultural produce of the state, does not have a single representative in Okorocha’s government.

Naturally, the chairman of Imo State Oil Producing Area Development Commission (ISOPADEC) is supposed to come from Oguta but it eluded them. With all of these bottled up anger, the maverick entertainer had no other choice than to pay Okorocha back in his own coin.
