Businessman, Peter Obafemi, has no doubt moved on since his marriage to his America-based wife, Maureen, hit the rock.
The man, who some months ago, found his better half in another beautiful woman, Lolade, and married her secretly, is back smiling again.
These days, the reserved Lolade is gradually stepping into the social scene, matching up with her husband’s status in a royalty-like manner.
Those close to the adorable couple revealed that the new Mrs. Obafemi is now pregnant and would soon be cuddling her first child. The couple were recently spotted at a wedding in Lagos, and in a chat with www.theoctopusnews.com, Obafemi, who will be contesting the 2015 Ekiti State gubernatorial election, stated that he will declare his ambition officially on August 15.
The man, who contested for the same position three years ago, revealed that the official declaration would take place at the state Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Secretariat, Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State.
He added that he had consulted the elders and top politicians in the state and they have given him their blessings.
His words: “As an individual and businessman, I am fulfilled. I am financially secure by all means, all glory be to God. My ambition is now to serve my people. I look around and see poverty and hunger in Ekiti. I see lack of infrastructural development. I see the youths of my state without jobs. I see our women abandoned and without hope. I see a state with great future wallowing in misdirection and I tell myself that I can make a difference. I can use my international friends and connections to bring prosperity and swift development to Ekiti State. I am in this race for a mission and it is to rebuild our dear Ekiti State and to make it one of the best states in Nigeria, in terms of infrastructure, health and job creation.”
