Ochei completes campaign office

Unlike the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Elder Godsday Orubebe, who has declared publicly that he is interested in succeeding Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan as the governor of Delta State in 2015, the Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. (Engr) Victor Onyekachi Ochei, is still parrying reporters’ question as to what will be his next political move. Even the likelihood that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will zone the governorship ticket to Delta North (Anioma) Senatorial District, where he hails from, has not tempted him to declare that he will throw his cap into the ring for the highest political office in the state. Stupendously rich, young and vibrant, Ochei has been described as the only person who can give Senator Ifeanyi Okowa a run for his money when the race for Government House, Asaba, begins. Though both men have continued to keep mute as far as the political office they will aspire to in 2015, the body language of the two Anioma sons speaks volume. That of Ochei is particularly loud and clear. He has finished erecting a duplex that will serve as his campaign headquarters in Asaba. The building is on Anwai Road, almost opposite Government House gate. It is painted in cream and the interesting thing is that it is just some metres away from Okowa’s Constituency office.
“All that is left is for the office to be commissioned. We can assure you that it will be put in use in no distant future,” our source told us in Asaba recently.
