Obigbo: Femi Kuti Frowns At Extrajudicial Killings
The #EndSARS protest brought out a side of Afrobeat musician, Femi Kuti that many had craved for.
For years, fans of the musician had hoped to see him become more conscious about happenings in the country.
However, his position remained that he would not be critical of the government, as he is not his father, and would lead his own life.
However, things appear to have changed a little in recent times, as the musician’s apathy about the masses seems to be changing.
Actively involved in the EndSARS protest along with his younger brother Seun, Femi Kuti has also been creating awareness about the alleged killings at Obigbo in Rivers State.
He recently expressed his pains on the way life is taken without care, tweeting; “Been seeing some news coming out of #ObigboMassacre. Why is taking life so meaningless here.”
