The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has cautioned consumers of petroleum products not to indulge in panic buying.
According to the NNPC, the company has sufficient stock of products that will last the festive period and beyond.
This disclosure was made in a statement sent to www.theoctopusnews.com and signed by Garba Deen Muhammad, Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division, NNPC.
In the statement, Muhammad stated that “NNPC Ltd hereby urges the general public not to engage in panic buying of petroleum products, as the Company has sufficient stock of the products that will last the festive period and beyond.
“The NNPC is also engaging all stakeholders to ensure smooth supply and distribution of products to every part of the country.”
The rush for panic buying follow reports of an impending scarcity of petroleum products.
