Music pundits in Nigeria have blamed Livespot organisers of the Livespot X Festival for the meet-and-greet controversy that happened in Ghana.
The general conclusion by music pundits in Nigeria is that Livespot didn’t bring their A-game to Ghana, having sealed the Nigerian version of the concert.
Recall that Ghanaian celebrities had expressed their disappointment after Cardi B failed to show up at a pre-event meet-and-greet session.
Absolving herself of any blame in the mix-up, Cardi B said that she was not aware of the meet-and-greet, adding that it was not in her contract.
“A meet-and-greet wasn’t in my contract; I didn’t know I had a meet-and-greet in Ghana. I had one in Nigeria and I was on top of that. I didn’t know I had one today, when I woke up, I went downstairs to soak up some sun in the pool, and my stomach started hurting. That was about 3 pm. I woke up and I saw a rave going on on social media that I had to go for a meet-and-greet. I guess a lot of artistes were angry because they were invited and I wasn’t there. I apologise, but it wasn’t my fault, it wasn’t me that did that,” Cardi B said about the incident in Ghana.
