Some days after the beauty contestants were unveiled, two of the participants have already been kicked out of the camp. Although the organisers of the pageant stated that Miss Ebonyi left for personal reasons while Miss Gombe was asked to leave for failing to meet the stipulated requirements, critics say that there is more to the development than meets the eye. With this new development, only 32 contestants will be vying for the crown, which will be hosted by the Bayelsa State Government today. One major talking point presently both in the entertainment and fashion industry is how Silverbird has turned the host of such a controversial show. Over the years, in Nigeria, controversy has been the alias for the Most Beautiful Girl pageant. In 2011, some issues trailed the show in relation to the then Miss Taraba. Last year, Sylvia Nduka was, to the outmost dismay of followers of the show, announced winner only to be allegedly disqualified from the Miss World beauty pageant months later.
