Family and friends of an allegedly demented man identified as Izuchukwu Igwilo, from the wealthy Igwilo family in Ozubulu community of Anambra state are set to break the bank to host a wedding for him and his soon to be wife.
The soon to be bride is a 15-year-old girl who had a child out of wedlock and has since dropped out of school.
According to activist, Prince Harrison Gwamnishu, who recently visited Anambra state, the girl who is set to marry Izuchukwu is from Ihiala community and will be 16 years old next year.
Explaining the real picture of things, Harrison said that “the girl is from a very poor family and that she had a child when she was in primary 5 and had to quit school. Her family couldn’t continue sponsoring her education and also taking care of her child, so they decided that they were going to marry her off to Izuchukwu who came recently with his family members to ask for her hand in marriage.”
He revealed that the girls family agree with the marriage proposal because they believe that no one would come for the little girl’s hand in marriage since she has a child.
On their part, Izuchukwu’s family want him to get married and also have children of his own, hence they have accepted to have the girl come into their family with her own child.
The family and indeed brothers of the allegedly demented Izuchukwu are said to have pledged to sponsor the girl’s child and any children she and their brother will have together.
