A musical story of the life and times of Mahatma Gandhi will be on display when Ghandi: The Musical hold on Friday, August 9.
In partnership with the Indian High Commission in Nigeria, the event is part of the ongoing Indo-African Peace Festival, a brainchild of arts oriented outfit, LightYear Entertainment.
The peace festival is geared towards extolling the virtues and ideals of Gandhi, a global icon of peace.
In a chat with www.theoctopusnews.com, Ovosa Precious Oroye, the Chairman of Indo African Peace Festival Committee described the Indo-African Peace Festival as an artistic but timely initiative for peace and nonviolence.
To make the festival a success, organisers of the event are seeking both technical and financial support from well-meaning Nigerians who believe in Gandhi’s ideals.
