Indeed, a gold fish has no hiding place.

Socialite and emerging African manufacturing magnate and style icon, Folashade Okoya, definitely has no hiding place, especially with her achievements.

Working hard as the Managing Director of Eleganza Industrial City Limited, the wife of Aare Rasaq Akanni Okoya, the Aare of Lagos and chairman/CEO of Eleganza Group of Companies is giving a face to the almost moribund Eleganza brand founded by her husband many years ago.

For all of these contributions, including her exploits in the fashion industry, the fair-complexioned beauty was honoured among others by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Okoya, a recipient of the Member of the Order of the Niger, (MON) award would be presented by President Muhammadu Buhari on October 11, 2022, at the State House in Abuja.

Other recipients includes the Director-General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Amina J. Mohammed, the Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations and multiple award-winning writer, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.

While Okonjo-Iweala and Amina Mohammed would be honoured with GCON, Chimamanda would be conferred with OFR.

Others are Justice Fati Abubakar (CON), Hajia Zainab Shamsina Ahmed (CON), Adaora Umeoji (OON), Kofo Akinkugbe (OON), Funke Opeke (MON), Folasade Yemi-Esan (CFR), Justice Monica Bola’ an Dongban-Mensem (CFR), Hon. Nkeiruka C. Onyejeocha (OON), Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun (CFR), Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire (OFR), Teniola Apata (aka Teni The Entertainer), MON, among others
