Herdsmen: Sunday Igboho Commends Prominent Yoruba Leaders

Popular Yoruba activist, Sunday Adeyemo, has commended prominent southwest leaders for speaking up against the injustice being meted out on Yoruba people in the region.

The activist who spoke in a viral video said he is indebted to people like Dele Momodu, former Aviation Minister Femi Fani-Kayode, former governor Ayodele Fayose and former president Olusegun Obasanjo for speaking up against his arrest.

Also mentioned in his appreciation remark are Chief Alao Akala (former Oyo State governor), renowned writer, poet and critic Professor Wole Soyinka among others.

Other Southwest kings he praised for their efforts are Alaafin of Oyo, Ooni of Ife, Olubadan of Ibadan, Ataoja of Osogbo, Soun of Ogbomosho, Alake of Egbaland, Awujale of Ijebu, Oba Akiolu of Lagos.

He also thanked Chief Gani Adams, saying he also spoke up. Igboho admonished his teeming followers not to disrespect any of the Yoruba leaders whose voice is not loudly heard.

“You are not aware, I swear to God and the Yoruba land. All of them (our silent leaders) are also displeased with the situation at hand.

“And they have now seen everything and spoken up, they won’t accept such. See all the powerful people in Yoruba land who have cautioned President Buhari against arresting me.”
