Familiar Foe Visit Obinna Okadigbo

Death has no friend or foe; it strikes whenever it is ready.

For the family of late erstwhile Senate President Chuba Okadigbo, death is fast becoming a familiar foe.

Having lost Okadigbo to the cold hands of death years back, the family was once again visited by the angel of death.

This time, it took a much younger person in Obinna Okadigbo, son of the senior Okadigbo.

In his early 20s, the deceased described as a warm and personable person died in the United States of America from a cold related ailment.

Glamour, Class As Bisi Adedire’s Daughter Weds

The joy of every father is to be alive to witness his daughter walk the aisle and say ‘I Do’ to the love of her life.

This wish was granted to amiable Town Planner Bisi Adedire, the Chairman of the Institute of Town Planning on Saturday, August 10, when his daughter Mary Abisadura tied the knot in a traditional affair with her man, Oluwa Seun Oladele.

The colourful event which held at Happy Crown Hotel, Meran, Lagos State was a gathering of noteworthy men and women both from within and outside Lagos State.

The engagement, which kick-started the nuptial was followed by a peach and white colour inspired reception which didn’t betray the money spent by Adedire in giving his daughter her desired marriage, as the bride couldn’t hide her joy all through the ceremony.

Needless to say that the father of the bride and  his wife pulled their weight leaving no stone unturned for the event which had notables including the royal father of the day, HRH Kabiyesi Oba Michael Gbadebo Owa Oye of Okemesi; Chairman of the day, Engineer Remi Awode; Oba Kasali of Meran to mention a few.

Still On Femi Gbajabiamila’s Insatiable Luxury

Most folklores describe the wise as the one with wisdom, few in words and very observant.

Others describe him as that who learns from his past mistakes and quickly makes amend such that a bad experience never repeats itself.

But it appears the rules of folklores do not apply to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, who seems to have an insatiable craving for announcing his luxury acquisitions.

Though Gbajabiamila naturally looks the part that the folklores describe, he hardly fits in. Having been seriously criticised for his luxury acquisition of a N100m G-Wagon wonder on wheels to mark the 50th birthday of his wife, Salamatu barely a year ago, he is back on that trail again, recently splashing over N300million on a bulletproof S-Class Mercedes Benz and a Toyota Land cruiser. What does the man have to prove?

Muhammadu Sanusi Enjoys Wind Of ChangeSanusk

The wind of change is currently blowing in a positive direction for HRM Muhammadu Sanusi.

Almost all through his life, the man has found himself at the top, always dishing out instructions, hardly receiving any.

A former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Sanusi was also at a point the General Manager of United Bank for Africa (UBA). At different times, he was also an Executive Director, the Chief Executive Officer and Group Managing Director of First Bank of Nigeria.

His appointment as the Emir of Kano has however changed a lot of things, as his authority is subject to the approval of the State governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

In an unfamiliar ground, Sanusi has suffered several ridicules including the reduction of his authority with the creation of new emirates and being ordered by Ganduje to report to the states Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Chieftaincy and Local Government Affair.

Dampened by the environment he found himself, Sanusi recently had reasons to be jolly, as he received his fourth wife, Sa’adatu Barkindo Mustapha who he married four years ago.

Having tied the nuptial knot four years ago, Sa’adatu proceeded to study in the United Kingdom. Now a graduate, she returned to her husband’s house where the traditional Bukar Kai ceremony to usher in a new bride was celebrated. Sanusi can enjoy this new wind of change.
