Exclusive: Untold Story Of How Lagos State Commissioner For Transportation, Kayode Opeifa Allegedly Receives N6 Million Annually From Ikeja Bike Association

The allegations making the rounds about Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation, Kayode Opeifa, is not amusing at all.
A sources close to www.theoctopusnews.com revealed that since Lagos State placed a ban on commercial bikes popularly called Okada it has been a war between Opeifa and the Ikeja Bike Association.
Our source, revealed that it was so bad that at a point in time the Commissioner allegedly ordered men of the Lagos Task Force and Police attached to the community to arrest any bike man spotted in the area, despite the fact that the bike association allegedly won a case against the State Government on the ban of bikes.
www.theoctopusnews.com, was informed that some months ago, after the chairman of the bike association realised that he was not making headway with the issue he allegedly reached out to the Commissioner who allegedly asked the association to pay
One Million Naira Monthly if they really mean business. However at the end of the day it was agreed that the association would pay five hundred thousand monthly, we were informed.
Our source, said as soon as five hundred thousand was paid on Friday, July 2, for the out gone month of June the bike men swiftly returned to business.
A bike man who ply the Ikeja/Oba Akran road in Ikeja, Lagos State, is quoted saying thus ” we paid though their nose to be able to work”. The initial order allegedly given by the commissioner was to arrest anybody on bike around Ikeja.
