What was supposed to be a topnotch society party to celebrate the 60th birthday and retirement of Omotayo Tajudeen Lawal, father of actress, Moyo Lawal, almost turned something else but for the timely intervention of the actress.
The party, which took place on Saturday, May 4, at the Blue Roof of LTV 8, Ikeja, Lagos, was a serene and colourful one until the short guy who initially appeared to be a gentleman, decided to show his real nature.
Trouble started when the guy called one of the band boys of the musician on the stage to help him get the complimentary card of the performing artiste. When he noted that that action did not draw the kind of attention he anticipated, he went on the stage and started spraying the performing artiste, who began singing his praise.
However, after other people came on the stage and the artiste focused on them, Moyo’s boy friend got angry, asking why the entertainer changed focus.
The angry man who felt neglected on the stage started haggling over the issue only for his girl friend to cajole him off the stage. But for the timely intervention of Moyo the whole scene would have turned something else.
www.theoctopusnews.com spotted Moyo practically groveling and begging her boy friend as he insisted he was going back to the stage to prove he had more money to spend than the celebrant.
He, however, calmed down and opted to leave the party after the actress whispered some sweet words into his ear, most likely promising to see him later that night.
