DIZZY K. FALOLA ARRIVES LAGOS FROM LONDON FOR COSON WEEK

Nigeria’s original music wizkid, Dizzy K Falola who rocked the nation silly in the 80s and 90s with hit songs like ‘Baby Kilode’, ‘Sweet Music’ and ‘Excuse Me Baby’ touched down in Lagos this morning from London to participate in the big activities of the COSON Week which kicks off in grand style in Lagos this Sunday with the red carpet national day of prayer and invocation at Trinity House in Victoria Island, tagged COSON IN THE CHURCH. Dizzy K. Falola who is now a respected pastor in the United Kingdom will be on stage at Trinity House and will join the nightingales of Nigeria and pastors from different denominations to sing and pray for the well being of the Nigerian nation and its people.

Pastor Falola will also be in the “COSON in the Street” train on Tuesday, October 31 as some of the major streets in the Mainland of Lagos witness an unforgettable spectacle as a rainbow of Nigeria’s best-known music stars sweep the streets of the city, clean drainages, drive garbage trucks, control traffic and do various other under-esteemed work as they give meaning to the dignity of labour. The ‘COSON in the Streets’ train will move at 11.00 am with lots of music from the National Theatre, Iganmu through the National Stadium. The train will turn right at Ojuelegba into Yaba, then turn left on Murtala Muhammed Way into Commercial Avenue; turn left at Sabo into Herbert Macaulay Way all the way to Jibowu and into Ikorodu Road unto Maryland. At Maryland, the COSON in the Streets train will turn left into Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way and then right by Lagos Sheraton Hotel into Opebi Road through Allen Avenue. The train will then turn right at Obafemi Awolowo Way to the Ndubuisi Kanu Park at Alausa, opposite the Lagos State House of Assembly where there will be a major music throw-down. The throw-down begins at 4.00 pm and is open to the public for free.

Right from the airport, Pastor Dizzy K. Falola drove straight to the magnificent new COSON house where he met with COSON Chairman, Chief Tony Okoroji and General Manager, Mr. Chinedu Chukwuji.   At COSON House, Dizzy K. Falola expressed his joy at the marvelous structure commissioned in May 2017. In his words, “Wow! COSON is making Nigerian musicians proud” He has asked his many fans to storm Trinity House on Sunday to be part of an unforgettable show.
