The much anticipated COSON Week commences today Sunday, May19, with a Red Carpet event tagged COSON in the Church.
The event, which holds at the popular Household of God Church, Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos State, kicks off by 2pm and will witness a horde of celebrity coming to celebrate with the Tony Okoroji-led faction of the collecting society.
Part of the activities to celebrate the COSON Week includes the COSON Green Ball, COSON in the street, and the COSON Lecture which takes place at the National Theatre in Iganmu on May 20.
Other events include Thursday, May 23’s the Big Finals of the COSON All Stars Table Tennis Blow Out which will take place at the Multi-Purpose Hall of Teslim Balogun Stadium of which the last eight in the contest will fight themselves until the last man standing emerges and go home with the cup and the million naira cheque.
Friday, May 24, will witness all Muslim members of COSON throughout the
Federation taking to the Mosque to re-echo the prayers and supplication to the almighty for a great nation. Special prayers will be said at the Lagos Central Mosque.
All hands are on deck to make the COSON SONG AWARDS scheduled for
Saturday May 25, a truly defining event in the history of Nigerian
Entertainment. The COSON SONG AWARDS will now be staged at the New
Ball Room of Lagos Oriental Hotel in Victoria Island instead of the
previously advertised Expo Hall of Eko Hotel & Suites.
Young comedian and entertainer, Buchi will anchor the COSON Song
Awards which will feature a special Red Carpet Fantastico with a pre
–event cocktail with a unique ambiance and décor created by Effizie
Events.”
Prior to the commencement of the week long celebration, COSON had inaugurated the Board of Trustees of
the much talked about COSON Music Foundation.
The 8-member Board will be responsible for the prudent management of the funds of the big foundation. The members consists of distinguished musicians and industry personalities. The Board has juju music maestro, Evangelist (Dr.) Ebenezer Obey Fabiyi MFR as Chairman and other members of the newly inaugurated Board of Trustees include Prof. (Sir) Victor Uwaifo MON,
JP, Erelu Keji Okunowo, Mr. Edi Lawani, Mr. Toju Ejueyitchie, Dr. Ben
Ofoeze, Chief Osita Okeke and a Representative of the Nigerian
Copyright Commission (NCC).
