Pastor Chris Oyakhilome of Christ Embassy seem not to know how to stay away from controversy.
Having barely survived the scandal, which came up due to his divource with his wife, Anita, he is alleged to be starting another crisis in his church again.
In recent years, Oyakhilome is said to have been charging members of his church the sum of N1,000 each as gate fee to attend the church’s New Year Crossover service.
Last year’s event, which held at their Ikeja church headquarters on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 is said to be generating controversy among the church members.
Gist has it that on the day of the service, those who could afford to buy the gate pass were allowed in, while others who couldn’t were asked to go back. This development has seen a lot of people grumbling, as they say segregation and discrimination is now in the church.
In the past, the church had said the reason they did such was to reduce the number of people who come for the annual service, because the venue cannot accommodate the thousands that showed up.
