The need to ask the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the President on Foreign Relations & Diaspora, Abike Dabiri-Erewa what she is up to is necessary.
Despite the ambassador of America to Nigeria Stuart Symington urging Nigerians with valid papers to feel free to visit America, Dabiri-Erewa continues to advice against this.
Recently, Dabiri-Erewa called on Nigerians to cancel plans to travel to the USA if it is not important. This is coming despite the fact that the ambassador has denied the fact that any Nigerian was deported from America.
Asides the ambassador, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Geoffrey Onyeama, has maintained that no Nigerian with full valid entry visa has been denied entry to the U.S.
One is forced to ask why the SSA is bent on derailing Nigerians especially when the country is not included in the Executive order of President Donald Trump.
In recent times, there has been an increase in rejected immigrants at the US borders. However, till date no Nigerian has been documented as a deportee as a result of the new Executive order of President Trump.
