All her life as a popular politician and businesswoman, Hajia Bola Shagaya, has never had to play second fiddle.
The reason is simple. It is a position she doesn’t know how to handle having played with only the best.
As a politician, she rocks with the best; hence she was motivated to send her son to contest for the office of the first citizen of Kwara state.
As a businesswoman, what more can she ask for?. All these put Hajia in a spot, she calls the shot in whatever she dose. As far as Hajia Shagaya is involved, it had to be expensive, classy and must exude wealth if she has to celebrate.
If she has achieved this in all that she has been doing, Hajia failed onetime, as her influence and lifestyle was obviously absent in the marriage of her son Seun Bakare to Damilola Osinbajo.
If she had had her way, the wedding would have been a carnival or better still a fanfare, but owing to the desires of both the father of the bride and the groom who opted for a low key wedding Hajia was force to concede and go with the more popular train.
Those who know Hajia’s style would definitely tell you that had she had her way, the wedding of her pastor son would have been more than what was unveiled at the state house, Abuja. Her friends would have besieged the venue and it would have been full of razzmatazz. Who knows, maybe the weekend affair might just be something close to a fanfare.
