The saying that “money talks” is not just a popular one but one which has lasted the test of time.
The inhabitants of Nnewi in Anambra State got the opportunity to see the true meaning of the saying when they witnessed a show of wealth and splendour recently when two offspring with silver spoon background tied the nuptial knot.
While the groom, Emeka Carter, is the son of billionaire businessman, Chief Izuchukwu Onwugbenu, chairman of Louise Carter Group, the bride Onyinye Chukwuma is the daughter of stupendously rich business mogul, Chief Innocent Chukwuma, President of Innoson Motors.
The traditional wedding shook the city as it attracted some of the big names in the town.
One of the side attractions at the nuptial was the presence of Nollywood actress, Genevieve Nnaji.
While guests were served an assortment of dishes and vintage wines, they were entertained by music from Flavour Nabania.
