Behold Ebuka Eze, The People’s Hero

Actor, Ebuka Eze, has been crowned The People’s Hero.

The actor earned the bragging right after emerging winner of the talent hunt The Peoples Hero, a show aimed at celebrating the richness and beauty of the Igbo culture through singing, dancing, spoken word and acting.

Eze automatically becomes an ambassador of Hero Lager Beer, a brand of International Breweries Plc.

The climax of the show saw solo jaw-dropping performances from each of the eight finalists before Ebuka won the star prize of N7 million.

Justice Alili, a spoken word artiste emerged the first runner up, winning N2 million, while Joel Uzoigwe, a dancer was the second runner up, going home with a N1 million.

Favour Onyemaechi, famed the last girl standing got a consolation prize of N500,000.

The night of the final began with a dance performance by the energetic Angel Nkwo. Her performance was followed by that of Toby Okonta, a spoken word artiste. Okonta’s piece was based on the need for a peaceful coexistence in Nigeria and Africa. On her part, Favour Onyemaechi, serenaded the audience with her melodious voice.

Joel Uzoigwe’s non-repetitive dance moves made him a delight to watch for the audience and the judges that included guest judge, Nkem Owoh.

Ebuka Eze’s performance was a masterpiece rich in meaning, content and delivery. Spoken word artiste, Justice Alili displayed his singing skills, while Ellis McReynolds thrilled the audience to no end with his rich voice. Tehilla Terex’s spoken word performance ended the night’s performances.
