Motherhood is a pleasant experience for the people who have had the pleasure of experiencing it.

 

Any woman who has put to bed will agree with this position.

 

One person who is currently enjoying that peculiar experience is Amina Mangal, daughter of Jigawa State Governor, Alhaji Muhammad Bararu Abubakar and wife of Lawan Mangal.

Amina and her husband Mangal welcomed their first child together recently and since the arrival of the tot, it has been a story of a serious bond between mother and child.

 

The new mother was recently spotted with her new tot and the joy in her eyes couldn’t have gone unnoticed.

Prior to its reformation, and even after, there have been different insinuations about the fraternity.

The Reformed Ogboni Fraternity (ROF), the  fraternal institution was founded in 1914.

(2)

ROF was founded by a Christian, Deacon Jacobson Ogunbiyi.

(3)

Deacon Jacobson Ogunbiyi founded the fraternity with the initial objective of promoting Christian values among the people.

(4)

The group was expanded to accommodate people of other faiths hence the change in name from Ogboni Fraternity to Reformed Ogboni Fraternity

Fouding fathers of ROF were part of those who fought for the decolonisation of Nigeria, and they developed such establishments as the civil service, judiciary and many functional post-colonial institutions.

Known members of the group include late Sir Adetokunbo Ademola, late Chief Ladoke Akintola and late Sir Adeyemo Alakija.

ROF is  not a secret society; its a registered entity that abides with the laws of the land  with the objectives of promotinf positive values, truth, justice and cultural heritage.
