Even in death, the handiwork of a man who left his imprint on the sands of time is celebrated. This is the story of amiable and dark-complexioned socialite and frontline club owner, Akeem Sodeinde, who held sway as the boss of several night clubs at different times in Lagos.
On May 10, ‘night crawlers’ will celebrate Sodiende, who was popularly referred to as the ‘King of nightlife’. Before he died he was running the mercurial Movida Night club.
Sodiende, also called ‘General’ died in his sleep having battled acute diabetes and kidney failure which saw him undergoing surgeries both in United Kingdom and India.
