Drums, Music and Action.

Like the opening scene of Wole Soyinka’s satirical book “the gods Are Not To Blame” or Elechi Amadi’s “The Concubine” Kachikwu’s men are at work again.

As if on cue, praise-singers of the Minister of State, Petroleum Resources and Group Managing Director, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporatio(NNPC), Kachikwu are back singing his praise, as the magician who has taken away Nigeria’s biggest challenge, fuel scarcity.

These praise-singers like the mere sycophant that they are seem to have forgotten that Kachikwu is only but a mortal as exemplified in his own words “I have received many training, but I have not received training as a magician. I am not a magician.”

Kachikwu’s praise-singers call the man whose many businesses have gone moribund due to poor management the messiah Nigeria needs to revamp the oil and gas industry, forgetting that what he has done since his assumption of office is the same thing that was being done by the past government, fuel importation.

Speaking to www.theoctopusnews.com, Mike Edah, reacted thus when asked about his impression of Kachikwu’s achievements “What has he been able to achieve that people are singing his praise. What he did is the same thing we do every day, buying. He simple went t buy petroleum product. What is special about that. He would only earn our respect when he stabilizes the country’s oil industry, when all our refineries become operational, them we can praise him.”

Industry Watcher’s analysis of Kachikwu’s achievement has shown that he has failed woefully since his resumption. It was in his tenure that Nigeria, an oil producing state witnessed the most radical fuel scarcity plunging masses into carrying Generators to fuel stations amidst extensive hours of waiting.

The situation has unraveled Kachikwu who has been painted as the miracle worker to an ordinary mortal lost in a maze.

Presently, the long quess at the fuel stations are returning defying the magic of Kachikwu, who has been embarrassed by the incessant fuel scourge.
