Although, Ifeanyin Ubah is gradually coming out of his self-imposed hibernation by making appearances at chosen events, the man is yet to get over his financial losses in the last Anambra governorship election.
Evidence to back this postulation came to fore when he was spotted on Saturday, April 5, during the wedding of President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan’s daughter, Elizabeth Faith Sakwe to Godswill Osim Edward in Otuoke, Bayelsa State. Though, Ubah was present at the occasion but it was obvious his mind wasn’t there.
The other guests at the occasion were Hajia Bola Shagaya, Senator Ben Obi, Governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa, and Governor Liyel Imoke.
So distracted was Ubah, that not even the fun haggling on the bride price, which started from N1 million and was finally pegged and agreed to at N50,000 could make him smile.
Some observers in attendance at the ceremony couldn’t help but notice Ubah maintained a sober look all through the day.
