What is currently playing out in Senator Ifeanyi Okowa’s residence and campaign off on Anwai Road all in Asaba, capital of Delta State, has truly brought to the fore the time tested maxim that “success has so many parents and relations and failure is an orphan.”
The senator representing the Delta North Senatorial District is now the beautiful bride in Delta State since December 8 2014 when, against all odds, he won the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ticket to contest the February 28 governorships election in the oil rich state whose governor has been preaching “Delta Beyond Oil”.
Okowa’s Asaba home has now become a Mecca, playing host to all manner of people including co-aspirants, all of whom are coming to pledge their loyalty. Even those who had boasted that they will defeat him silly but ended up scoring less than 50 votes at the primary are falling head over heels to show their support. Well, it is good to be a winner!
