Tunde Folawiyo, John Ugbe Didn’t But KSA’s Guitar

A very reliable source has described as false the speculation that Nigerian businessman and Managing Director of Yinka Folawiyo Group, Tunde Folawiyo paid N52.1 million for King Sunny Ade (KSA)’s vintage fender guitar at the Sunny On Sunday Concert.
The source also revealed that the guitar was also not bought by the Managing Director of Multichoice Nigeria, John Ugbe.
This comes as a big surprise, as the social media has been busy with speculations about the individuals mentioned having paid the huge sum for the guitar.
Klieg Light was informed that Folawiyo couldn’t have bid for the guitar because he was chairman of Temple Management Company (TMC), while Ugbe doesn’t make the kind of money people who would play with N52.1 million do with such rare treasures.
The source revealed that it was interesting that the duo involved in the speculation have kept mute to the rumour perhaps enjoying the attention it all brings.
KSA’s vintage fender guitar was auctioned and sold by Dr. Jogun Onabanjo for N52.1 million at the concert which held on Sunday, December 11, with top Nigerians including Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Femi Otedola, Babatunde Raji Fashola and several other important personalities in attendance.
